Alexander Ulanov

Alexander is a postdoctoral researcher at DESY, where he has been a member of the Ultrafast Nonlinear Microphotonics group since June 2022. He earned his PhD in Laser Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2019. His research focuses on chip-integrated nonlinear photonics, quantum optics, ultrafast laser physics, and deep learning in physics. Outside of work, Alexander enjoys ski touring, hiking, and a variety of other outdoor activities.
